As a kinesiologist who uses natural remedies to help women get pregnant, I always recommend you use some form of fertility calculator to short-cut the time it takes you to get pregnant. They're actually not very difficult to use and at the end of this article, I'll show you a way to calculate your most fertile days for free. There's only a short window of time to conceive in your cycle, so fertility calculators offer a simple way to target your conception efforts to reach your goal of getting pregnant fast. You'll have to provide some information so the calculator can do its job. Don't worry - they don't need to know your life history - just a few facts. The important thing is to ensure that the info the calculator requires is correct. The questions are: first day of your last period, days in your cycle and average luteal phase. Hopefully, you'll be taking records of your menstrual cycle (this is important if you're planning on getting pregnant) so it will be pretty easy to use the calc program. The cycle length is worked out by counting the days in between each period, so that's no big deal for you. Working out the details on your luteal phase isn't as easy. This is a term used by doctors to describe the days in your cycle after you ovulate but before your period. It should last 14 days if your cycle is the standard 28 days. Fortunately it's quite rare to be asked about the luteal phase, as the majority of programs will only want to know the date your period started and your cycle length. If you decide to use a calendar to track your ovulation simply add 12-16 days from the first day of your most recent period, and sometime during those five days you should ovulate. For instance, if the first day of your last period was June 20th, you should ovulate between July 1st and July 5th. The best way to narrow this down is to check your basal body temperature, and pay attention your vaginal secretions they will change during ovulation. If you can narrow this down and find the exact day of ovulation it will make using a fertility calculator to get pregnant a much more reliable source, increasing your chances of conception greatly. So now you know how to use a fertility calculator to increase your chances of getting pregnant. Keep reading, because in a minute, I'll share with you a link to a free fertility calculator that won't require you to enter information on your luteal phase.
